KCDF s approach to sustainable development involves empowering communities, enabling prosperity, and advocating for social justice through innovative solutions in various areas such as livelihoods, education, and environmental conservation.
About Project
This project involved the development of e learning modules for the East Africa Financial Resilience Resource Hub, aimed at enhancing the financial resilience and capacity of civil society organizations and community based groups in East Africa. The consultant will analyze the learning needs of the target audience, design interactive modules with multimedia elements, and implement the content on the online platform. Through a systematic instructional design approach, the consultant will create engaging and impactful learning experiences to empower organizations in advancing their social justice goals
The target audience for this project includes civil society organizations, community based groups, and other formations in East Africa seeking to enhance their financial resilience and capacity. Specific learning objectives include improving fundraising skills, resource management capabilities, compliance with financial requirements, and diversification of funding sources to advance social justice goals.
The Process
The e learning modules were developed following a thorough analysis of the target audiences needs, existing knowledge, and learning preferences. Content curation on the subject matter, particularly on Endowment Funds, was completed with sign offs from Subject Matter Experts to ensure accuracy and relevance. Specific learning objectives were identified and aligned with the project goals and the audience s requirements, providing a focused and impactful learning experience for all participants. The e learning modules were carefully planned with a clear outline of topics, subtopics, and activities. Fun and interactive content was created with videos, audio, and pictures to make learning more enjoyable. Quizzes and tests were made to check what was learned and help remember important ideas.

The e learning content was developed using authoring tools like aNewSpring and Articulate Rise 360 to produce interactive and visually appealing modules. The content was structured logically, with clear navigation and user friendly interfaces to enhance the learning experience. Feedback mechanisms were incorporated to enable learners to provide input and actively engage with the material. The modules were pilot tested with a small group of users to collect feedback and implement any required revisions. Following this, the modules were launched on the East Africa online learning platform, ensuring accessibility and compatibility across various devices. Training and support were provided to users to help them navigate the platform effectively and optimize their learning experience.
